How it started
“The story we want to share with our employees is about – going back to basics, our core values, and key products. Additionally, we want to present our strategy and objectives for next year in an unforgettable way. Can you come up with an event for us that consistently highlights this theme from start to finish and keeps surprising them? So, we’re looking for an event that no one will ever forget. Is that possible?”
With that message, our event designers got to work, and the result is one of the most memorable events in the history of Summit Events. After a week, we presented and visualized the concept to our client. ‘Expedition – Back To Basic’ was born.
Program
Tents with a 4* setup
Upon arrival, each guest received their own tent in the set-up festival village. Each tent had a onesie thermo sleepsuit, mattress, towels, etc.
3 days focusing on the customer
For 3 days, plenary meetings and breakout sessions were held in 10 large tipi tents on the premises. The theme: customer obsession.
Teambuilding, party & more
In addition to the meetings, there were many other exciting activities on the agenda, including the evening party held on a large floating pavilion.
Contributing together
In the year we organized this sales meeting, there was a lot of attention on refugees. Therefore, guests could choose whether to keep their tent, mattress, etc., or donate them to Vluchtelingenwerk Nederland. More than 90% chose to donate.
