For What Purpose and Based on What Grounds Does Summit Events Process Personal Data?

We only process your personal data if you provide it yourself. We do this for the following reasons:

  • To contact you if you are interested in an event
  • To send our newsletter or other promotional emails

Automated Decision Making

Summit Events does not make decisions based on automated processing that could have (significant) consequences for individuals.

Data Retention

We do not retain data longer than necessary. For example, your data will be deleted immediately when you unsubscribe from the newsletter. And comments remain visible on the website until Summit Events is dissolved, we decide to delete a comment, or if you send an email to contact@summitevents.nl requesting us to delete a comment. As long as the comment is visible on the website, your personal data will also be retained. This is because the comments can be of value to Summit Events visitors.

Provision to Third Parties

Summit Events only shares your personal data with third parties if necessary. For example, we share your data with Moosend so that you can subscribe to the newsletter and receive emails from Summit Events. Without this, it would not be possible. In addition, we use an external SMTP provider to send email messages, which temporarily stores your messages. Through these log files, we can check if all emails have actually been sent. When Summit Events provides data to third parties, we ensure, among other things (with an agreement), that your data is not used for other purposes. We also agree that your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary. Furthermore, we will not provide your data to other parties unless this is legally required or permitted. For example, it is possible that the police may request data from us as part of a fraud investigation. In that case, we are legally obliged to provide this data.

Newsletter

Summit Events sends emails to keep you informed about their events and event tips. You can receive these emails by subscribing to the newsletter. You can do this through various forms on this website. When you leave your email address, you will be added to the list of subscribers. Do you no longer wish to receive our newsletter? Each newsletter contains a link to easily unsubscribe. The subscriber list of the newsletter is not provided to third parties. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter by sending an email to contact@summitevents.nl.
