Volvo Ocean Race

“We are looking for a partner who wants to go around the world with us during the Volvo Ocean Race. Is that something we can ask you for? And if so, can you welcome guests, organise tours, devise and provide eye-catching activities for all visitors and VIPs that fit our Volvo Ocean Race objectives? If you can arrange this, the race will start in 4 months and you can come along.”

Honestly, this was a very special request at the time, but one that we seized with both hands. Within 2 weeks we had set up 2 teams that could participate, devised a number of activities, all materials were produced and we prepared to be away from home for a long time. The start was in Alicante / Spain and with that started this special journey… er, this special event.

Blokart sessions for thousands of visitors, guided tours for VIPs from all over the world, promotion and sample activities for both Ericsson and Volvo Ocean Race and countless hand-and-span services that our teams provided for weeks. Even the introduction of the Whike (sailing recumbent bike) was left to us and interviews for countless TV channels were almost daily business.

A worldly event to remember and one that our team riders still enjoy talking about to this day…
