Blokarting was brought from New-Zealand to The Netherlands by Summit Sports, over 20 years ago. Nowadays, it is still a highly recommended activity for a unique business event. Blokarting is very accessible: it is not difficult or dangerous, and no previous experience is required. After a short explanation from the instructor, everyone can step into the blokart and experience the speed of the wind!
But how fast does a blokart actually go? This is determined by the wind speed. Reaching speeds of 50 to 60 kmph is possible! We organise our activities at the broad beach of Wijk aan Zee. On the activity part of the beach, there is enough space to set a new record!
Blokart Race Edition
For the blokarting we work with the original brand ‘Blokart’ from New-Zealand. Only then is it allowed to to be called ‘blokarting’. Other providers often use beach sailors or land sailors and call them blokarts, often unjustly. These karts are of lower quality and comfort, and do not offer the safety of the Blokart Race Edition®. This is the most recent blokart, introduced at Summit Sports in 2018. These karts are fully equipped with a racing cockpit, ultra soft racing tyres and speedometers. They offer an even more spectacular experience and extra safety and comfort. In addition, we complete the picture with our Blokart Race Overalls.
Blokarting | Packages
We offer blokarting in various forms. The standard Blokart Race Edition means that you alternate with a ‘buddy’ for an hour. Prefer the full experience? Consider the Blokarting Deluxe package, which entails two hours of blokarting across the beach!
In addition to blokarting, we organise various other activities. For example, it forms the perfect combination with powerkiting, or compete against your colleagues during a games of Bubble Soccer.
